Jie Zhou has known what he wants and set his goals from a young age ...and a career in real estate was always one of those goals! Even before leaving school, Jie had property in his sights. In his mid-teens, he approached his local agent, Ray White Moorabbin, for work-experience, staying in touch with the team here, and then putting himself forward for a role as soon as he could.
It’s this forthright approach, allied with studies in Business and Entrepreneurship at Swinburne that sets Jie apart, as he works harder, longer and smarter to prepare properties for sale, welcome potential buyers, and share his enthusiasm for every property he markets. Drawn to work in the industry by its fast pace and dynamic nature, Jie appreciates that no two days are the same.
“Working in real estate is a constant cycle of learning and giving back,” he says. “Every day brings a new vendor, a new property and a new set of buyers. There’s always something to learn and always a new way I can add value. While every property is different and energising, I can bring the same advantages - helping vendors maximise the presentation of their property, assuring that marketing materials are accurate and on-deadline, and helping buyers understand the benefits of the property and the area.”
Born, bred and educated in the area, Jie brings a true local’s knowledge to every sale. Whether it’s selling potential buyers on the benefits of ‘his’ suburbs, or making connections over shared local experiences, Jie is an excellent ambassador for the area in general... and his vendors’ properties in particular.
Away from work, Jie’s interests are both locally-connected and outward-focused. Closely connected to the area by a wide network of family and friends, Jie is a true local who went to school at Cheltenham Secondary College and swam for Cheltenham Swimming Club. However, Jie’s biggest interest has an international edge... his love of fast cars and F1 racing is a bit at odds with the quiet streets of his home base!
